Are you interested to buy valuable things in a pawn shop?
Posted by: aecel - 01-25-2018, 09:27 AM - Forum: Pawn Loans - Replies (21)

There some borrowers that don't bother to redeem back their items in a pawn shop. Maybe they don't have money to pay their loan or they just want to dispose of the items. The pawn shop has the right to sell the items if ever the borrowers failed to redeem the items in due date.

Some items in Pawnshop offers a lower price because it's second hand already. Are you interested to buy valuable things in a pawn shop even if it's not brand new?

How does a pawn shop give prices on gold jewelry?
Posted by: aecel - 01-25-2018, 05:03 AM - Forum: Pawn Loans - Replies (20)

Is it true that if you're going to pawn your gold jewelry they will scratch it a bit so they will know how much worth it? I have no idea how they measure the karat. Do you have any ideas? How much can they give the price in every karat?

Are credit card reward points worth it?
Posted by: TheInsaneSakif - 01-24-2018, 06:09 AM - Forum: Credit Cards - Replies (26)

I'm sure you've already heard about credit cards that issue reward points. And those reward points can then be exchanged for cash, gift cards or travel miles. But are those reward points really worth it in the long run? I mean you even need to spend a great deal of money before availing for reward points. And this can, in turn, lead you into the pit of debt. I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this!

Sad Odd incidents with debit card ATM withdrawal
Posted by: Martinsx - 01-23-2018, 07:54 AM - Forum: Credit Cards - Replies (14)

Something very odd happened to me 4 weeks back, where I went to the ATM machine of another bank to use my ATM card to make some withdrawal. I tried the first time but wasn't paid, then I tried the second time and I was instantly debited with a text message notification but wasn't paid by the ATM.

I waited for a day but the fund was not reverted to my account, then I had to visit my bank on the 3rd day. I was given a form to fill and on completing filing the form, I was informed by the customer care attendant that I'm making use of Mastercard debit card, so it's going take 3 weeks before the fund would be reverted to my account.

I felt this was a blatant joke, how can my money just be gone without any good explanation, only that it's because I'm making use of a Mastercard. This really infuriated me because I had plans for that held up funds. It was on the 4th week being yesterday that the cash was credited back to my bank account.

Anyone with such horrible debit card experience?

Have you experienced pawning your gadgets?
Posted by: aecel - 01-23-2018, 05:39 AM - Forum: Pawn Loans - Replies (16)

I haven't experienced pawning my gadgets yet but one time our neighbor asked my mom if she could redeem his tablet (samsung) in the pawnshop because it's going to be due in few days. If she's going to redeem, it hers already she's the new owner of the tablet. My mom was happy because she got a tablet for a lower price.  Big Grin

Pawning a gadget is also a great way to have loans. You can pawn your smartphones, laptops, tablets and other gadgets that are valuable. Have you experienced pawning your gadgets to a pawnshop or to anyone else? How's the experience?
